Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, or emotionally drained, therapy can help. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit — therapy is a space for support, clarity, and growth.

What can I expect in the first session?

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, what you hope to get out of it, and any questions you have about the process.

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long. We can discuss extended sessions if needed.

How often will we meet?

I typically recommend starting with weekly sessions to create consistency and build momentum in our work together. As you begin to feel better and start reaching your therapy goals, we can adjust the frequency to biweekly, monthly, or as needed to support you moving forward.

How long will I need to be in therapy?

Therapy is unique for everyone. Some people find a few months helpful; others choose to continue longer. We’ll revisit your goals regularly and collaborate on what feels best for you.

What’s your cancellation policy?

I ask that clients provide at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

I’ve tried therapy before, and it didn’t help. How will this be different?

Every therapist is different. I encourage you to share what didn’t work for you in the past so we can make sure this process feels more supportive and productive for you.
